If Menstrual Cups or Cloth Pads aren't your thing, there are a few other options for you...

From DIY reusable products, to safer/more environmentally friendly disposable products.  The following links give you more information on these options.

Easy (no sew) DIY cloth pads - Simply take any fabric you have, and cut it into strips as wide as you feel they should be, and as long as you need to keep you covered.  If you have a sewing machine, you can edge these and make something a little more shaped.  See the DIY pads section for lists of patterns for pad shaped cloth pads.  A waterproof plastic table cloth can be cut to size and provide a leakproof layer.  Using face washers folded up as pads will not need edging, so they won't fray.... you also have the advantage of them being able to clean and dry quicker as they can unfold.

DIY Sock Tampons - I have seen reference to women buying cotton baby socks, rolling them into a tube and inserting those into the vagina like a tampon.  As they can be unfolded, they can be cleaned easier.  Please be aware though that these may still pose a TSS risk.

Knitted Tampon - You can create a knitted tampon, using cotton or hemp yarn.  The idea is to make a square, and the natural curling in of the stocking stitch helps the square roll up into a tube, or you can crochet or make a tube and fill it with cotton terry (or other fabric)  Leave the yarn trailing at the end to make the string for removal.  Please be aware though that these may still pose a TSS risk.

DIY Silicone Menstrual Cup - I've seen a how to guide for this, using aquarium/glass silicone sealant from a hardware store, molded over a paper form.  I'm not going to link to it here, as I really think its not a good idea, but I thought it was worth mentioning because if I don't, someone is bound to e-mail me to point it out.
