Me-me-me-me-me-me-meeee...
6th May 2004, 4.23pm
Ahem. Man Bites Dog has cracked it
for a mention on a couple of fun little lists. First, it's made
it onto the Children's Book Council of Australia's "Notable
Books for Older Readers" list, so booyah right there.
They have to make it for older readers because of all the swearing
and having of sex and stuff that's in it, since younger readers
don't swear and don't know anything about sex. Second, it's been
included as one of the 150 books that are participating in the "150
Years - 150 Books - 150 Words" competition being run by
the Age and the State Library of Victoria, which involves
people picking one book from the list and writing 150 words to
explain why, if all the books in the world were being destroyed,
the particular book you've chosen from the list should be the only
book saved. So booyah x 2. Or 2(booyah) for the more algebraically
inclined.
