| CPS Software is a small, one-person software development company specialising in audio and MIDI software. The company is based in Melbourne, Australia and is run by Chris Share. Through his teenage years Chris played piano and guitar, and spent quite a bit of time surfing at Phillip Island. He attended Melbournes Monash University and completed an Honours degree in 1989 majoring in music and politics, along the way learning African drumming and sitar. He then went on to complete a Masters degree in 1995 which looked at the use of timbre by rock guitarists. From 1996 to 1997 Chris attended Melbournes Latrobe University completing a Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Music Technology. Since then he has worked as an assistant lecturer in the Monash University Music Department. In addition, Chris works from his own MIDI/audio studio writing music for film and video, and is a regular contributor to the Australian music technology magazine, NextMusic. He also loves to dance Salsa and Merengue as well as watch the St Kilda (Australian Rules) Football Club. |
