The End of The Beginning

Arcanacon 2002 is over, and the game went well. We ran six teams through the game, which is a total of 60 player sessions. I am not unhappy with that. During the convention there were quite a few things that came up with the game, some of them good, some of them bad. We are now working on getting rid of the bad and putting in the good. However, the stress is off, so it will not longer be as frantic.

I will post a list of winners here shortly.

First Playtest completed

OK, this will probably be the only playtest before the Con, but with how well the first one went, neither Richard or Sara are worried. Thanks to: Andrew MacLennan, Lachlan Nicholls, Nigel Cunningham, Adam Raymond and Richard Allen for their time and effort.

P.S. It seems the game works.

Details Posted & Playtest - 9th January 2002

We have finally put up Raneen's Tale and the Setting Details. These can both be accessed from the menu on the left.

The game is in final preperation for playtesting, which will be happening this weekend.

Update - 4th January 2002

I can't believe how much the game has changed over the last month. Mostly for the better I think, but we still have a long way to go. We have finally got the backstory solid enough to know what needs to go into Raneen's Tale, which we promised in the entryform, and it should be up within the next few days.

Also in the next few days should be some details of thw world that the game is set in, at least the bits that are relevant to the game. This will include some details of the Setting for the game, as well as details of the minor rules variations used.

Stage of Development - 8th December 2001

There have been some delays in the development of the full tale that was promised in the Arcanacon Booklet. As we have tried to work on concepts for the game, what we had written became wrong, and we are currently fixing it. The full tale, to give more background and flavor to the game, should be posted here before Christmas.

We are hoping to have more details of the characters available here about a fortnight before the convention.
