The Famous Maheno Shipwreck, Fraser Island Qld

The Maheno ran aground almost 75 years ago. At low tide it is entirely exposed, but at high tide largely submersed. The saltwater has corroded the hulk almost beyond recognition, leaving a striking ochre-hued skeleton standing silhouetted against the blue.
