Are you sick of hearing "techno/house/music for people who don't like music" everywhere you go? If you are then it's time to join us at a new nightclub just for you! Yeah you crazy cats, it's time to come on up and get on down at the opening night of The Fire Escape on Friday 9 July upstairs at the Richmond Club Hotel, 100 Swan Street, Richmond.
The Fire Escape will be brought to you once a month and will feature live bands and 60s inspired garage Djs The Malibu Go-heads and friends playing yours and their vinyl favourites.
Opening night will star local garage punksters Hands of Time (featuring members of the Freeloaders/Philisteins/Seminal Rats/Glorystompers/Saucermen) launching their new 7" vinyl single You're in Your World on Rat Race Records. They'll be ably supported by Mersey popsters Voxsound.
And yes there's more! You'll have the chance to pull on those go go boots and dance the night away with The Malibu Go-heads. You might even get lucky and win a door prize courtesy of Corduroy Records. The Fire Escape is proudly brought to you in association with The 60s Appreciation Society. Be there on Friday 9 July, upstairs at the Richmond Club Hotel, 100 Swan Street, Richmond (next to the railway bridge). It'll be cool, it'll be shagadelic and you'll have a blast baby!!!
