In this book, Richard Miles has outlined the career of Gerry Humphrys, the enigmatic lead singer of seminal Australian band, The Loved Ones, who have been quoted to have been an inspiration to both Nick Cave and INXS.

By tracing Humphrys' life back to his origins in the UK, Miles brings to life a unique chapter in Australian Rock 'n' Roll, using references to many pnmary sources, including interviewing all the main players in The Loved Ones.

About the Author:

Richard Miles has been a fan of The Loved Ones since first hearing the band in 1987. He has also taken an interest in Gerry & The Joy Band and the Red Onion Jazz Band since the mid 1990s.

Miles lives in Adelaide. His other favourite bands and musicians include TISM, Weddings Parties Anything, The Birthday Party, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Scientists and all of Kim Salmon's groups, Painters & Dockers, Beasts Of Bourbon and most of Tex Perkins' other bands.
