The famous amazon web site has an enormous range of books, CDs and DVDs including those that haven't been released in Australia or books that are out of print. It also contains many reviews including those from the public. My favorite bookshop in Melbourne, Borders at the Jam Factory (10% discount for teachers is also available) does not have a web site, in fact if you were to type www.borders.com in your browser it will automatically redirect you to the amazon web site.

The Whitehorse Manningham Regional Library Corportion has library branches in Box Hill, Nunawading, Shoppingtown, Vermont, The Pines, Blackburn and Bulleen.  From its web site you can access its catalogue, reserve books and find the opening and closing times for each branch.

The Eastern Regional Libraries has library branches in Knox, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Rowville, Ringwood, Croydon, Lilydale, Belgrave, Mooroolbark, Mt. Evelyn, Montrose, Healesville and Yarra Junction.  From its web site you can access its catalogue, reserve books and find the opening and closing times for each branch.

Angus and Robertson Booksellers


The Angus and Robertson Bookshop web site is similar to the Dymocks web site and they also give teachers a 10% discount on all books.

Dymocks Booksellers


At the Dymocks Bookshop web site you will be able to check the availablity and prices of all fiction and non-fiction books. It also contains literary links including author web pages, author events and interviews. Don't forget that Dymocks offer 10% of all books for teachers. All you need do is present a union card or pay slip. Some sales staff are not aware of this just ask for the manager and insist.
