I live in Melbourne, Australia with my Husband my young Daughter and several pets. I've been a Pagan for pretty much all my life really... I just didn't know what it was called. I taught myself Tarot Reading when I was about nine - I don't know why but a an article on tarot in a conventional magazine interested me, so I cut out all the pictures of the cards and made my own deck (I had to draw my own cards for the major Arcana). I used to Worship the Earth, Believe in a Goddess and even had an Altar when I was a child, and used to carry some "lucky charms" around my neck in a pouch (Things like an eagle made of shell which symbolised to me "freedom"). And no, my parents (nor anyone in my family) were/are Pagan (not that I know of)... I don't know where I got my beliefs... they just evolved. I got interested in healing when I was about 10 or so... I'd bought a book on Metaphysical Healing, and it got me interested in "New Age". Again, don't know why I bought the book, it just jumped out at me at a garage sale. I found the term "Wicca" when I was about 16, and that's when I realised that was pretty much what I believed. I started to seriously study Paganism about 5 years later. Because my
parents (who by now were interested in various "New Age" things thanks
to my instance) ended up opening a "New Age" shop.. I was then lucky to
have an almost limitless supply of books to read on all sorts of subjects.
I opened my
own online store in 1999, which started out as selling Pagan supplies and
teaching Witchcraft Classes.
