The timing would be best for a Full Moon (most powerful), but during the Waxing phase would also be good (Bringing in).  The best day would be a Friday (ruled by Venus, the planet of love) You can add to the power to this spell by wearing pink clothing, and empower a piece of rose quartz jewellery to wear while you are looking for love. 

Prepare for the ritual by bathing in a bath with rose petals, rose water and pink or rose scented bath salts to purify and focus your intent before the ritual.. 

Mark out your magick circle (if you are going to cast one). Set up a ring of red candles around the inside of the circle, and sprinkle rose petals heart shaped pieces of paper (like confetti) and pink glitter around the circle.  Also have an oil burner with rose oil in it, if you have one.  When you cast the circle (if you decide to cast one) invoke the Goddess Aphrodite or Venus, and the God Eros, as these are deities associated with love.

Take a white candle and scratch your name  along the side (you can use a pin for this - one with a pink or red glass ball on the end is perfect) .  Also have a red candle with the word "love" scratched along its side.  Place these touching each other on a plate or some other heatproof surface that will not mark and light them saying:
 

"As these candles burn and the wax blends
  so too shall love and I be entwined"

When the wax is in a puddle, sprinkle rose petals and pink glitter on it, and visualise yourself being happy in love it until it has solidified and cooled.   If the wax does not look like it will create a puddle, you can hold the 2  candles and CAREFULLY  allow them to drip onto the plate to form a blended puddle of wax.  Usually the heat of the 2 candles combined will help them to drip as they burn.

Place the wax it in a pink cloth bag, with a piece of rose quartz, more rose petals, a few drops of rose water and some more glitter.  Wear this bag all the time, until you find my lover, then  keep it as a symbol of your enduring love for them.  If you do happen to break up eventually, discard the bag in a flowing body of water, to symbolise freeing your mind and soul of them.
