• Pink or red velvet (or other nice feeling cloth)
• Needle and thread
• Pillow stuffing
• 2tbs Rose petals
• 4 drops Rose water
• 2 tbs Lemon Verbena
• 3 tbs Lotus Root
• Piece if paper, and a pen
• A small pink or red birthday candle

Cut out 2 identical heart shapes from the cloth, you can make this heart as big or as small as you desire, this will be your pillow.  Using the needle and thread, sew the 2 heart pieces, leaving enough room to stuff it.  

Half fill the pillow with the stuffing, saving the rest of the stuffing for later.  Take the pan and paper, and write the qualities you desire in a partner (Such as kindness and gentleness).  Roll the paper into a scroll, and if your hair is long enough, use a strand of it to tie around the scroll, and seal it in place with a drip of candle wax.  (If your hair isn't long enough, then use a short length of pink or red ribbon.)  

Place the scroll carefully into the pillow.  In a bowl, mix the herbs and rosewater together, and add that mixture to the pillow.  Fill the pillow with the rest of the stuffing, and sew the opening closed.  When you go to bed at night, hold the pillow close to your heart, and say:
 

  "With love I laboured over this pillow,
 May it bring me love in return."

Each night, until your partner comes to you, sleep on the pillow, or sleep with it close to you.
