Poppet Binding Spell
.
Draw a basic Gingerbread man shape on a piece of paper.  When you are happy with it, cut 2 out of felt or any cloth.  Take the two halves of the doll, and with the needle and cotton, sew the two halves together, leaving an opening at the top of the head.  Fill the doll with the sawdust or dried herbs.  If you have any hair or nail clippings from the person, add that too. Fill the head with the herbs, and sew the opening up. You may add features to the face, such as eyes, nose and mouth.  Light the candle.  Hold the poppet up and say:

 "this doll represents ....(full name).....
I wish ....(full name).... no harm,
I am performing now a binding charm.
I will bind them well with ropes of love,
  Lest I anger those above.
I will remember now the rule of three,
What I give out returns to me."

Now that the poppet is named for the person, be sure to treat it with proper respect, as any harm you do to the poppet (therefore to the person) will be returned to you, threefold.  Remember that this is not a spell to harm the person, but to stop them from harming others.  Wrap the ribbon around the part of the poppet that is causing the harm, such as the mouth or a liar, the arms if the person is being violent.  As you wrap, say:

 "This ribbon binds you tight,
Against its magic you cannot fight.
You will cease to do others harm,
After I finish this magic charm.
  I bind you ....(name).......
  I bind you ....(name).......
  I bind you ....(name)......."

Keep chanting the last line until you have finished wrapping the ribbon around the poppet.  Visualise the person being really wrapped.  Place the poppet on a shelf where it will be safe, but not in a cupboard, or somewhere dark.  Whenever you pass it, say:

 "This ribbon bound you tight,
Against its magic you could not fight.
You will cease to do others harm,
Now I have finished this magic charm."

When you feel that the person has stopped harming others, unbind the ribbon, and say:

"This poppet has served me well, It no longer represents ..(name)..."

Take the poppet apart, and bury all the pieces in the ground.
